Our Vision
A Ghana where every child has access to safe, inclusive and supportive education, and every young person has the skills and opportunities to secure decent work and contribute to sustainable community development.
The Foundation for Education and Social Transformation (FEST) is a Ghana-based non-governmental organization dedicated to strengthening education, building skills, and empowering communities to achieve sustainable, self-driven development. We believe that lasting social transformation begins with investing in people — particularly children, young people and the communities that raise them.
Since our founding, FEST has worked at the intersection of education, livelihoods, environmental resilience and peacebuilding, recognizing that these issues are deeply connected.
A child cannot learn well in an unsafe environment.
A young person cannot build a livelihood without relevant skills and opportunity.
A community cannot thrive without water, sanitation, and resilience to climate shocks.
And no development is sustainable without peace and security.
Investing in people.Strengthening communities.Transforming lives.
A Ghana where every child has access to safe, inclusive and supportive education, and every young person has the skills and opportunities to secure decent work and contribute to sustainable community development.
To strengthen quality, inclusive and accountable education while equipping children and young people with relevant skills, innovation opportunities and pathways to decent livelihoods, working with communities and institutions to advance lasting social transformation.
We are accountable and transparent in all that we do.
We ensure that no child, young person or community is left behind.
We work collaboratively with communities, government and partners to achieve shared goals.
We design programmes that create lasting, community-owned change.
We embrace new ideas and approaches to solve old and emerging challenges.
FEST works through partnership, not prescription.
We engage communities, schools, local government and traditional authorities from the outset of every project, ensuring that our interventions reflect real needs and are owned by the people they serve. We combine direct implementation with capacity-building, advocacy and research so that the impact of our work outlasts any single project cycle.
FEST was established to respond to persistent gaps in access to quality education and economic opportunity for children and young people in Ghana.
